Praetas Technologies (pronounced “prA-tuss”) is co-owned and operated by Joe Conway, a Florida State Licensed Low Voltage Contractor who has over 30 years’ experience installing, configuring, and repairing computers, networking equipment and consumer electronics.
Praetas was originally established in 2003 and opened its first “brick and mortar” location in Palm Beach Gardens in 2011, thanks to Joe’s Father-in-Law, Ken Barnett, who helped secure a location for us to use for a year, for free.
In 2018, we moved to our current location in Palm Beach Gardens. That same year, Ken joined our team to help establish our Low Voltage / Special Projects Division. Ken passed away in 2021 and is remembered fondly as a guy who could fix anything, and always wanted to help those he loved.
Praetas is licensed and insured to do work in and for all types of homes and businesses. We carry all necessary coverages for our techs, so you are protected from the work we perform, and can rest assured that your data and your property are protected.
Praetas’ team of CompTIA Certified Technicians offers a HUGE array of services including (but not limited to) Computer & IT Support, custom computers, computer hardware repair and upgrades, virus removal, data recovery, and electronic equipment sales. Our Low Voltage / Special Projects Division offers structured data / low voltage cabling, whole home Wi-Fi, TV mounting and audio/video setup, whole-home SONOS, cell phone amplification, home automation and voice control, and much, much more.
